Organic. All estate fruit. Over 80 year old vines. The stony soils are derived from shale and granite and the slopes softened by the altitude, between 500 and 700 meters, give the vineyards unique characteristics.This wine is light on its feet with bright red fruit notes and lithe minerality, reminiscent of Pinot Noir. Best enjoyed lightly chilled. Tiago Sampaio is the face behind Folias De Baco combining wine tradition of the Douro, the teachings and the passion transmitted by his grandfather and scientific knowledge acquired during academic training abroad.
