Blended by a notable winemaker, Edge Cabernet Sauvignon drinks wonderfully now, and will age well for five to eight years. Edge spent 16 months in French oak barrels, of which 35% were new. Its blend is reminiscent of a Bordeaux with small amount of Cab Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Lean, intense blackberry and coffee perfume emanates from the glass in a refined manner. On the palate the tannins are broad and grippy, giving the wine structure.
