Great nose with a scent of rye that does not kick in, taste-wise, till the finish. Flavors of black cherry, boysenberry and some raspberry blend with a smokey note. Good density and full bodied. The finish takes that rye scent and added cinnamon spice and very light pepper (but very smooth). This Zinfandel is a Bargin and does not drink at this price point... It's clearly much higher.
