Deep purple-black colored, this wine is intensely perfumed of ripe cassis, black cherry compote and blackberry pie with hints of dried plums, and spice cake with a certain fruity ripeness. Full bodied and vibrantly fruited on the palate, it offers an abundance of juicy black berry flavors with crisp acidity to enliven, and a medium level of velvety tannins. The finish is long with some dried berry components coming through. Delicious at this youthful, primary-fruit stage, it should cellar gracefully.
