The grapes come from the Red Cedar Vineyard outside Paso Robles, and two other Paso Robles area vineyards. Red Cedar Vineyard's calcareous soils have loam, silt-rich clay and sandy components, and the Cabernet blocks are situated on bench lands overlying the Estrella River. The Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has ripe cassis, chocolate and toasty notes, highlighted with dried herb and orange zest aromas. It's rich and soft in the mouth, with a toasty, dry finish, and ripe tannins.
